At the centre of Truck Tracks Ruhr is a truck that changes the way we look at the Ruhr. The truck has been converted into a mobile auditorium with a huge window on one side. In total, Truck Tracks Ruhr will be heading to seven cities in the Ruhr region until the beginning of April 2017, offering an extraordinary view of the region’s scenery. From Wednesday, 15 March 2017, Truck Tracks Ruhr #7 will be touring through Essen, the last of a total of seven Ruhr cities to be set to music by renowned artists. The seventh album of the art project by Rimini Protokoll and Urbane Künste Ruhr thus also transforms the Ruhr region into a stage.
Via Krupp: Friedrich Alfred Krupp stands for the intertwining of capital and imperial politics. His passion was the deep sea. In 1874 he founded the world’s first marine research institute in Naples. On Capri he gave parties in a cave above the sea. The invited men dressed up in religious robes.
